Customer reviews of froomoo.com and b4udirect.com - fraud warning

If you are considering ordering from b4udirect.com or froomoo.com, you may want to think again.

My experience with this company is ordering goods totalling £700, cancelling the order ten days later when the goods failed to show up, and a month on, they have kept my money, and a person who answers their phone called 'Jeff' is adamant that a refund was made (despite being unable to give me any reference details). No refund has been made, and a dispute has been registered with Paypal. Paypal said this morning that 'they couldn't give you any reference for the refund because it hasn't happened'.

I would advise anyone else in my position to immediately contact www.actionfraud.org.uk (telephone 0300 123 2040). They process details of b4udirect.com's fraud and then pass the details on to the police.

These fraudsters should not be allowed to trade in the UK.

The company directors are listed as:

Kewal Ravi Banga

And their address:

B4U Telecom Ltd

I realised my mistake when I did a web search for froomoo.com and b4udirect.com reviews. Here are a few other customer's experiences with them.

I don't believe this is a genuine site. I have ordered a camera worth £283 and have had the exact same experience as David above. The money left my account on 10th May and there is still no sign of delivery and whenever you call them they say they aren't sure and they have to check with the depot before they can give you a refund and never call back.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS WEBSITE.

Further to my recent post (25th may 2011) I am now over the 12 working days refund time as stated on froomoo.com's terms and conditions and still no refund received.....i have now made more phone calls to them and have had more empty promises received from the froomoo staff ... no explanation for this entire debacle..... pursuing credit card company for a refund........in case anyone is interested in writing to complain to them if they too have been stung by this sham of a company, the address of the parent company that takes the payments is

Phishing / Fraud / Badware
A bit of good news (I have also been waiting a month for a refund for goods that never turned up) - BBC Watchdog have contacted me today after I filed a complaint - seems plenty of others have too and they have their researchers on it now so fingers crossed they'll be exposed more widely as the thieves they are.

I wish I could rate Froomoo in negative.

order Samsung NX100 camera on 2nd June 2011 from Froomoo.com and my Paypal payment went to B4U Telecom. For almost 4 weeks, I was told, the item is being delivered but the delivery is delayed from the warehouse. Around August 1st week, I cancelled my order and asked for a refund, and till the date I havent got it. If you mail them you dont get a reply and If you call them they just tell you they will check and payment will be made. I am now tired of calling them. Cant go to Paypal, because paypal deals with fraud cases for transactions within 45 days. I believe I have lost my money and wont get it back. It seems to be a cheat company running a scam. I am trying to see, whether there is any consumer body I can put a complain against such a Fraud company.
Please, please, dont experiment and AVOID any transaction with this company. Froomoo.com and B4U Telecom should be ashamed of cheating people of their hard earned money like this. I will post this in every forum possible to save the consumers.

Very unprofessional

I purchased a mobile from Froomoo. It was not a pleasant experience. They took the money quickly enough but after a week I had recieved no confirmation e-mail. I e-mailed them and asked for an update and I too got the "we have been very busy and are experiencing problems" reply. After 3 weeks I phoned them and was initially told that my item had been "lost" and I would get a refund and then that "they had made a mistake and I would get the item within a week. I have to say, I did ge the item a week later, but I suspect that is because it was purchased through the company and not as an individual. I am still not convinced that his company has not got some sort of scam going, but I cannot pove it, so it is just a gut feeling. For the saving involved, with hindsight I would have gone with another company.

Now if I could swear on here I would spurt profanities for the next couple of hours. This 'company' is like nothing I have ever experienced before. They took almost a grand of my money instantly when I ordered a camera from them. I gave them a week before I first contacted them, at which point I was told they 'are experiencing delays at their depot'. No doubt this 'depot' is just some guy in HK who buys and sends the stuff out.
I rang again the next day, and double checked that the camera was in stock. It was. I enquired why it had not simply been put in a box and shipped to me and was told that the sheer volume of orders prevented that. I have worked in online retail and cannot understand this. I received nothing to inform me they were experiencing delays until I initiated contact, which I believe is morally wrong.
I raised the point of all these poor reviews and that I was getting the same treatment and their response was 'our competitors often give us bad reviews to take our trade'.
I was never going to receive the camera to shoot a wedding I had booked (and given adequate delivery time for), and had lost all confidence in their operation so I cancelled my order.
As you may have guessed by now, I am over the 10 days quoted for a refund and although froomoo claim to have initiated the refund I do not believe this for a second and intend to pursue this matter as far as I can.

As far as I am concerned Froomoo are nothing but fraudsters. Do not order anything from them. They operate several different websites under the name of B4U Telecoms Limited and the majority of them also have terrible reveiws. One of these sites is 'continental mobiles', selling diamond encrusted mobile phones.... I'm just bloody glad I wasn't after them! Maybe that's where our money goes? Who knows with this bunch of retards.

By ben bidwell (23/06/2011)

I placed an order on 05/06/11 for £475 for 2 HTC phones. I am yet to receive an order confirmation and have since requested the order be cancelled and a full refund be sent along with written confirmation. Despite three phone calls to the same effect I still have received nothing in writing from this company. Apparently I am not alone - you can also find negative reviews on trustpilot and webutation.net. Froomoo support - if you are reading this please prove me wrong, act now and give me my hard earnt money back.

AVIOD!!!! They will take your money and not send your goods. 12 days now and not so much as an email. I have been promised a tracking for the past week and surprise, surprise!!! no email or number. The website looks very professional but they will happily take your money and not send the goods. They maybe cheap but dont be tempted or you will lose your hard earned cash.

Re: 42LG7000 and B4UDirect.com
Placed an order with B4UDirect.com last week. They took my money right away but did not issue a tracking number within 3-4 days as they say they should. I'm still waiting. I've emailed and phoned a few times and spoken to some very nice people but when I said I wanted to cancel my order they said I could not because it has been dispatched. I said if that is the case why don't you have a tracking number? They would not budge. I questioned them about not charging VAT and they said that anything you order from them is classed as a personal import. However I did point out that the email invoice they sent me does say that it includes VAT. They claimed to know nothing about this and would 'look into it'.

Fortunately I did pay with my credit card so if the tv does not show up I can get my money back, but my advice is, if you want it quick and you want to know all the costs up front, steer clear of B4UDirect.com

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Read the many negative reviews on the net about them. They operate from a central European warehouse. not the UK.
Money taken via pay pal straight away for a printer. Shown as in stock and delivery within 3 to 5 days.
They then lied constantly. After nearly 2 weeks I was promised "it will be with you by the weekend. 100% guaranteed".
Turns out it was in a European warehouse (if indeed it was in stock at all).
It never arrived despite many phone calls to them. 3 different excuses were given for the delay.
I cancelled the order after 3 weeks both by phone and email. They never acknowledged the cancellation or gave a refund.
I had to open a pay pal dispute to get the money back.
To this day I have not received a single bit of correspondence from them or apology about it.
Avoid.

I ordered a phone from this company. they took money instantly. when I did not get an email informing me of any dispatch I emailed and initially got a reply that they would check with dispatch and email me back (I've not heard any more dispite emailing to see where my phone is)
I therefore just when to my credit card vendor and got my money back that way.
I would never buy from them again and alas it seems that many independent vendors are just rip offs.
Do you recommend this retailer?

No

I placed online orders for 2 SatNavs (TomTom 930 and Garmin765T) on Saturday and Monday 1st and 3rd August 2009 respectively. I phoned and chased the progress on orders on 6th. I was told that "both your items have been dispatched " and when I asked for tracking number, I was told that "they will be emailed to you later on today" which never arrived. However, 3 hours later, what arrived was an email saying that they do not have the Garmin SatNav in stock!!! and whether I wanted something else. Not knowing what to believe, I asked them to clarify whether they have sent the item or they are out of stock! To my disbelief, they confirmed that it is indeed out of stock (despite their system showing in stock). I asked for a prompt refund and their Customer Service (Kerry Adams) assured me in an email that the refund will arrive in my account no later than "maximum of 3 days" (11 August). However, The Tomtom SatNav eventually arrived on 10 August. The irony was that the tracking number arrived only 2 hours before the item itself!!!
Today (12 August), I checked with my Bank to see whether a refund has been made and they told me NO. I wrote an email to Kerry Adams and reminded her of her written assurances (Copied her email) and asked for an explanation why the refund has not been made! I presume, she was to embarrassed to reply herself, however, I received an email from her colleague (Jaz) saying that “a full refund will be processed for this order today"!!! i.e. they even had not started the process as assured me on 6th August!!! To be realistic, I don't even expect these cowboys and girls to start the ball rolling any sooner! My advice would be to avoid these people at all cost and don't fall for their cheap prices! What you'll get is cheap service and virtually no services after point of sale.

Review by Craigewens

Terrible! Don't bother visiting this site... their sales tactics are shambolic to say the least! They falsely advertise products which they don't have in stock (despite what their website says) at prices which when queried have been subjected to "technical errors". There are many more companies out there so make sure you check them out first!

Ordered and paid for a tv package from this company 7th Jan online, with free delivery usually within 24/48 hrs. Before doing so, rang their customer services department direct to ensure product was available, which they confirmed. Whilst part of the order was delivered two weeks later (after e-mailing and telephoning company several times in the meantime to advise of non-reciept, and with no communication forwarded to advise of the delay or their impending delivery), I am, three weeks later, still without the tv ordered or refund, this is despite their online facility currently promoting the product as available, although at an increased price. Though having no previous dealings with this company to make any direct comparisons on their wholesale reputation, having read several discussion forums, I now wonder if my experience with this company is unique. Would definitely NOT have any dealings with this company again!

Don't buy from them. They take your money for items which they have in stock & don't even know when they'll be in stock, and then send out wrong items. They have to be chased several times to collect the wrong item and then takes weeks of chasing again with threats of legal action before actually refunding payments back to payment card.
Flawed website, stock log, service, liars.

We purchased a Shuttle SG33G5 Barebones unit from them early december 2008. On monday 20th April I contacted them as the unit had developed a fauly. They referred me the manufacturer. I contact the manufacturer via email the same day and had a response on teh 21st stating that I would need to get our supplier to organise an RMA. I contacted them and it took them 2 weeks to decide that they would accept the unit back for repair. We had to pay £45 to ship the unit back to the suppliers repair depot in France. We did this on Tuesday 12th May. At that point we were advised it would take 7-10 days to get fixed and returned to us, at our cost. After many calls and emails to try and find out what was going on I finally sent an email warning them of legal action on 25th June. Ironically I received a reply the next day stating a new replacement unit was being shipped out. I received tracking information yesterday which said the unit had been collected from the on the 25th June, same day I sent my warning to them. I received the unit today, and the replacement unit doesn't work. I have just sent off an email to the contacts I had but am not certain how long it will take for this issue to finally be resolved! Oh and not once have they apologised for the problems!

First, I placed the order with my international
Mastercard which UK address could not be validated
as it issued in other country. I've been waiting for
10 days, contacted customer support and only after another 3
days found out that the order was cancelled because they can't validate my card.
Could they send me a cancellation notice??
Second, I ask my girlfriend to use her UK Visa Debit
card which billing address matches the delivery
address. I did put not real telephone number- who knows if
they decide to spam me later?
They then called up that number and
then again canceled the order as couldn't reach me.
Why on Earth would I give my own phone
number to a seller? To join a telephone spam list?
It was just a simple cheap 100£ GPS-navigator,
not even something expensive. Why would they want to
call me??? So I've bought Garmin nuvi in another store.
They certainly don't care about customers. :(

Bad Customer Experience
I wish I'd seen the reviews before I went near Froomoo, unfortunately I had already paid for a camera before I came across the reviews. Payment came off my credit card immediately. As soon as I saw the reviews, the day after my purchase, I cancelled my order with them in writing (by email). I received no reply to the email - a situation which has become all too familiar.

A day later, I phoned up their 'customer service' department and they confirmed that the cancellation and said a refund would be in my credit card account within 5 days. I received an email from them just after to confirm this - although the email literally just said a refund would be processed within 5 days, no details of the transaction, my payment or anything else. A week later I had still not got a refund, so I sent another email requesting an update. Again, no reply. Sent another email 2 days later and once again no reply. I then phoned them up and requested an update, was told their finance department was dealing with it and they were on lunch but would call me back later in the day. No phone call.

Rang them again a couple of days later and explained the situation once again. This time all the phone lines to their finance department were busy, but they would ring me back later in the day. They even promised to send an email to the department asking them to ring me back and update me before the end of the day. Surprise, surprise - nobody rang back. Called them again this morning (after the weekend) and they were surprised (yeah right) that I hadn't had a call or email as they were certain one had been sent, checked my email address (correct) and said that the refund should have gone through on Friday and should be with me in the next few days. I told them they have two days before I leave it to my credit card company to sort out with them. We will see, I don't hold out any hope.

At best, they have the worst customer service department I've ever experienced (the phone is answered with a 'hello', no mention of who you're speaking to or what company they are), they do not respond to emails, or on the vary rare occasion they do it's impersonal and vague. Extremely unprofessional.

PUT SIMPLY, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY - PAY THE LITTLE EXTRA AND BUY FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY INSTEAD!

Bad Customer Experience
Absolutely the WORST case of non customer service I have had on the web

Do NOT even consider trying to use these people

Try calling their UK number - they don't even identify themselves when they answer - you just get a "Hello" - something very odd there.

They took my money - and I heard nothing - no calls, no e-mails. Everytime I called them - some 6 times in all - always promises that I should hear something the next day - which of course I didn't.

After waiting the maximum 10 working days - they still had no information - & came up with an unlikely story about problems with thier courier.

Cancelled my order and asked for my money back - heard nothing again - called them - same old line - should hear something tomorrow - which I didn't.

Put in a claim with PayPal who are now refunding my money

I have brought in my bank as this was on their credit card. Terrible, diabolical, horrid experience. Should have read these reviews before - they do this virtually all the time. Bad Customer Experience
I ordered an android phone on the 10th July and my £300 was taken almost straight away from my bank, and I received an email saying my order would take between 7 - 10 days and I would receive a tracking number. After about 9 days I started to send emails and they kept telling me they would escalate/chase my order, and that they would hopefully send me an email the next day 'hopefully' with tracking information. Needless to say it did not arrive. My 3rd and 4th emails were ignored.

On the 3rd of August I decided to open a dispute with PayPal and a couple of days later I received an email saying my order was on it's way and they gave me a tracking number. At last I thought; how wrong was I. Using the tracking number they gave me I tacked it on the DHL website and all it kept saying was 'Shipment Information Received'. After 5 days of this I emailed DHL and asked them if this meant they physically had my parcel, and guess what, they didn't. They said "they had been notified electronically of the shipment to be sent, but the sender has not yet passed the shipment to DHL for transportation and delivery" So they blatantly lied saying my order had been shipped.

Avoid this company like the plague. I wish I had looked at these reviews before I decided to deal with them.

I now wait on the decision from PayPal about a refund. Fingers crossed.

I was told I have to wait 7-10 working day to have my refund. I don't trust them and I hope to report them if after the 10 working day I don't get my refund.

Nothing more to add really after all the negative comments here other than exactly the same experience: empty promises no information, no tracking number, awaiting refund will no pursue via the bank. Useless and fraudulent - no other word for it.

Very bad experience

I orderded for a Sony camera at the 4th of June. Five minutes after paying, our credit card bank called me to verify the transaction. This should have warn me. The RBS account of Froomoo/B4U Telecom must have a bad reputation.

I sended several emails, to Froomoo and to B4U, none of them are answered, for now I have asked my bank to take further steps.

I asked them, are you a criminal organsation or an organsation with a bad administration? With so much silence, I hope to believe that they are the second, but for now and for me, it's pure criminal. Delivering later than expected is not a problem, of course, but I don't think that there will be a delivering at all. If it will happen, I'll let you know, on this website.

Ordered a phone a month ago. No phone yet, no tracking information yet, not even a sniff of anything positive. Emailed several times and got fairly prompt replies. Emailed again yesterday asking for my money back, they replied with more excuses about delivery delays. I'm not happy with the level of customer service offered by this company.

And when they reply to an email, why does nobody give a name? Anyone else find this suspicious?

In conclusion, I would NEVER use this company again and would advise others not to either.

I ordered a Sanyo Xacti VCP-CA100 (yellow) (PAL) from Froomoo.com on 16th June 2011. The payment of £234.97 was taken immediately, and the wait begun.

After a couple of day I sent an e-mail to enquire about the tracking information that I was advised I would receive, to which I received a prompt reply apologising for the delay and advised that the tracking information would be chased up and sent to me ASAP.

Over the following month I sent a number of similar e-mails all receiving the same response, Until 13th July 2011 at which time I received an e-mail advising me that my order was out of stock and that I would receive a refund within the next 5 -10 working days.

It is not 27th July 2011 and I have still not received a refund and I am on my second e-mail enquiring as to when I might expect to receive my refund.

I will keep you posted as to the conclusion of this nightmare, as I fear like other who have posted before me that this is a fraudulent company. Either way I would advise anyone smart enough to read these reviews before making any purchase, DON'T

I only wish I had been wise enough to do so before I got sucked in.

item was in stock 7th of September - Canon 600d
email came through stating 7-10 days delivery
after 14 days chased it, constantly fobbed off with various excuses

no reply. had to ring them several times
by the 4th of October I had an email saying my refund was being processed, please allow 7-10 working days to return to your account.
on the 7th of October I had this email:
Please note, we have now received your goods back into our warehouse and a refund has been processed accordingly. Please allow 3-5 working days for this to show on your statement.

Odd!!!

It's now been 10 working days, I've rang them every few days to make sure my refund is still 'being processed' - guess what; it's the 10th working day and still no refund. Apparently it will be in my bank account by 5pm.

I agree with everything others have said here. If I could turn back the clock I would have bought from the high street. I found the service with this retailer very poor. Promising 3-5 working day delivery which doesnt happen as im now on day seven not including the 48 hrs they quote it takes to process the order. In calendar terms its two weeks since the order was placed.Im positive had I not started to chase the order I would not have been contacted. Only revceived automated email responses titled "Dear Sirs" which is very impersonal when youv'e spent qite a bit of money with them. Promised call backs which never come which as a fellow Retailer I find is unprofessional and unacceptable.
I have since cancelled my order and am awaiting a full refund.
Unfortunately I will not be recommending this retailer.
